Courtney Sanders and I tryna see who’s got longer arms at the 2013 Portland Boulder Rally… I don’t think we’ve figured it out yet. I am 5’3” with (I THINK) a plus one! That means my arm span is an inch longer than my height.
How far is YOUR ape index??
Our house is filled with the fragrant smell of herbicide to kill the mold in our basement and I need something to keep my mind off it. Ask me some questions or tell me some stories!
What’s your best memory from climbing? Inside or out, friends or solo mission?
Bouldering in Purgatory, Rhode Island circa 2008. I had just cut my hair!
Purgatory holds a dear, dear place in my heart. The bouldering wasn’t quality or quantity but it was peaceful, beautiful, and right on the ocean. Lots of great memories there.

I’m curious to hear from you guys! Feel free to ask me any questions, or tell me this;
When have you been the most scared in climbing? Did you overcome it? How did you feel afterwards?
Went to Wild Basin for the first time yesterday and did this cool line called Future Nature, despite the damp conditions. The top-out holds were slimy, nearly non-existent, and high up so it was one of those I’m-going-to-send-or-I’m-going-to-eat-shit moments. Luckily it was the former.
The Wild Basin woods reminded me of New Hampshire and had that wonderful piney smell. I think that is my absolute favorite smell in the world, the one you can’t find in any perfume or candle shop. The real breath-gulping smell of the forest. I can’t believe its taken me this long to get to the Basin. So psyched on the outdoors!!
